Evelyn is delighted to endorse the work of Women’s Forum Northern Ireland. She has ongoing contact with Women’s Forum in her various capacities through the Equal Opportunities Commission for Northern Ireland and now as Chief Executive of the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland.
Her involvement with Women’s Forum dates back to the early 1980s and she has always been impressed by its work to enhance the role of women in the life of Northern Ireland. She has particularly good memories of joint working to encourage more women to put themselves forward for public appointment, through initiatives such as the Commission’s Talent Bank.
Evelyn wishes the Forum ongoing success – the energy and enthusiasm it brings to its work and the Forum’s ability to work in a non-political, anti-sectarian way as a voluntary umbrella organisation has been and continues to be significant in Northern Ireland.
